Central Government appoints the officers - DIT(Infra. )/U-I/Misc./Estate Officer/2013-14 (pt.)/60/2014-Admn. VII - Income Tax

MINISTRY OF FINANCE (Department of Revenue) (CENTRAL BOARD OF DIRECT TAXES) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 18th February, 2014 G.S.R. 95(E). In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Public Premises (Eviction of Unauthorised Occupants) Act, 1971 (40 of 1971), the Central Government hereby appoints the officers mentioned in column (2) of the Table below, being Gazetted Officers of Government, to be Estate Officers for the purposes of the said Act and the said officers shall exercise the powers conferred, and perform the duties imposed, on Estate Officers by or under the said Act, within the limits of their jurisdiction in respect of the categories of the public premises specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table: TABLE Serial No. Designation of the officer Categories of the Public Premises and location of Jurisdiction (1) (2) (3) 1 All Commissioners of Income-tax In respect of all premises under the administrative control of the Department of Revenue situated within the local limits of their respective jurisdiction. 2.
