OFFICE OF THE ADDITIONAL DIRECTOR GENERAL OF FOREIGN TRADE NISHTHA BHAWAN, 48, VITHALDAS THACKERSEY MARG, CHURCHGATE, MUMBAI 400 020 TRADE NOTICE NO. 04/2015-16 dated 4 th September, 2015 Subject:- Elections to the Committee of Administration for Panel Members, Regional Chairpersons, Vice Chairperson and Chairperson of the Council for the period 2015-17 as per Election Rules duly amended by the Members at the Extra-ordinary General Meeting of the Council held on 20th August 2015 Attention of all the Ordinary Members of Gem And Jewellery Export Promotion Council is invited to the decision that the elections of the Committee of Administration (CoA/Committee) of the Gem And Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) would be conducted for the period 2015-17 and for such purpose the voter list for Financial Year 2015-16 shall be utilized. Please be informed that for the purpose of Elections, the Panels Regions have been grouped based on the provisions of the Elections Rules and the Articles of Association (AoA), and the said groups of Panels Regions are as follows: Sr. No Groups No of Seats 1 Diamond Panel 8 seats (including 4 seats from the category of EH/TH/STH/SSTH) (1 seat for MSME for the period 2015-17) 2 Gold Jewellery Panel Other Precious Metal Jewellery Panel 4 seats (including 2 seats from the category of EH/TH/STH/SSTH 1 seat from SEZ) 3 Colored Gem Stones Panel and Pearls Panel 2 seats 4 Synthetic Stones/Costume Fashion Jewellery Sales to Foreign Tourist Panel 1 seat 5 Silver Jewellery Panel 1 seat In addition to the above group of panels, the following shall be the elected office bearers in the Committee; A. Regional Chairpersons: 6 (one office bearer for each region as specified in para 2.2 below) B. Chairperson 1 C. Vice Chairperson 1 The communication in this regard has also been sent on the registered e-mail ids of the members in voter list. This office has created a link which can be accessed to know all the notices/ letters/election processes etc which get issued/ implemented from time to time. Since all future communications including dispatch of notices etc will be done on the registered e-mail ids only, Ordinary Members who have not registered their e-mail id and mobile number with the Election Authority need to do so immediately by sending e-mail indicating Membership Number (G code) and Mobile Number of the authorised representative to electionepc@gmail.com on or before, 15 th September 2015 by 5.00 p.m. Any communication after this date and time will not be entertained.
