Central Government de-notifies an area of 134.79 hectares at Villages Talegaon and Panshil, Taluka-Khalapur and Village-Bhokarpada, Taluka-Panvel, District- Raigad, in the State of Maharashtra, thereby making resultant area as 5.04 hectares - S.O. 356(E) - Special Economic Zone

MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 17th January, 2019 S.O. 356(E).- Whereas, M/s. Persipina Developers Pvt. Ltd.-SEZ (former M/s. Sunny Vista Realtors Private Limited), had proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005) , (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for IT/ITES (former Services Sector) at Villages Talegaon and Panshil, Taluka-Khalapur and Village-Bhokarpada, Taluka-Panvel, District- Raigad, in the State of Maharashtra; AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules 2006 , had notified an area of 139.83 hectares at the above Special Economic Zone vide Ministry of Commerce and Industry Notification Number S.O. 514(E) dated 29 th February, 2009; AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government further approved the request of change in Sector from Services Sector to IT/ITES; AND, WHEREAS, M/s. Persipina Developers Pvt. Ltd.-SEZ has now proposed for de-notification of 134.79 hectares from the above Special Economic Zone; AND, WHEREAS, the State Government of Maharashtra has given its approval to the proposal vide letter No. SEZ-2015/CR-132/Ind-2, dated 07th July, 2018; AND, WHEREAS, the Development Commissioner, SEEPZ Special Economic Zone has recommended the proposal for de-notification of an area of 134.79 hectares of the Special Economic Zone; AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government is satisfied that the requirements under sub-section (8) of section 3 of the said Act and other related requirements are fulfilled; NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006 , the Central Government hereby de-notifies an area of 134.79 hectares at Villages Talegaon and Panshil, Taluka-Khalapur and Village-Bhokarpada, Taluka-Panvel, District- Raigad, in the State of Maharashtra, thereby making resultant area as 5.04 hectares, comprising the survey numbers and the area given below in the table, namely:- TABLE FOR DE-NOTIFICATION AREA Sl.
