Central Government rescinds the Notification Number S.O. 919(E) dated 06th June, 2007 - S.O. 2874(E) - Special Economic Zone

MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 6th August, 2019 S.O. 2874(E). -WHEREAS, M/s. Mahaveer Skyscrapers Limited, had proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005), (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for Information Technology and Information Technology Enabled Services (IT/ITES) at Chevella Village, besides Faraha Engineering College, Ranga Reddy District in the State of Andhra Pradesh; AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zone Rules, 2006 , had notified an area of 22.78 hectares vide Ministry of Commerce and Industry Notification Number S.O. 919(E) dated 06th June, 2007 ; AND, WHEREAS, M/s. Mahaveer Skyscrapers Limited has now proposed to de-notify entire area of 22.78 hectares of the above Special Economic Zone; AND, WHEREAS, the State Government of Telangana has given its No Objection to the proposal vide letter No.1357/IT C/Prom2/2006 dated 14th May, 2019; AND, WHEREAS, the Development Commissioner, Visakhapatnam, Special Economic Zone has recommended the proposal for de-notification of entire area of 22.78 Hectares of the Special Economic Zone; NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by first proviso to rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006 , the Central Government hereby rescinds the above notification except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such rescission.
