Central Government de-notifies an area of 2.023 hectares at Ayiroopara Village, Trivandrum District, in the State of Kerala, thereby making the resultant area as 8.098 hectares - S.O. 3206(E) - Special Economic Zone

MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 30th August, 2019 S.O. 3206(E). -Whereas, M/s. Kerala Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (formerly M/s. KINFRA Film and Video Park), had proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005), (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for IT/ITES sector [formerly IT (Animation and Gaming) sector] at Ayiroopara and Kazhakoottam Villages, Trivandrum District, in the State of Kerala; AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules 2006 , had notified an area of 10.121 hectares at the above Special Economic Zone vide Ministry of Commerce and Industry Gazette Notification Number S.O. 572(E) dated 12th April, 2007; AND, WHEREAS, M/s. Kerala Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation has now proposed for denotification of 2.023 hectares from the above Special Economic Zone; AND, WHEREAS, the State Government of Kerala has given its approval to the proposal vide letter No. 142/Prl.Secy/Ind Norka/2019 19th August, 2019; AND, WHEREAS, the Development Commissioner, Cochin, SEZ has recommended the proposal for denotification of an area of 2.023 hectares of the Special Economic Zone; AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government is satisfied that the requirements under sub-section (8) of section 3 of the said Act and other related requirements are fulfilled; NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006, the Central Government hereby de-notifies an area of 2.023 hectares at Ayiroopara Village, Trivandrum District, in the State of Kerala, thereby making the resultant area as 8.098 hectares, comprising the Survey number and the area given below in the table, namely:- TABLE FOR DE-NOTIFICATION AREA Sl.
