Central Government de-notifies an area of 17.894 hectare, (thereby making the resultant area as 386.806 hectare) at Duppituru, Moturupalem, Maruturu and Gurujaplem Villages, Visakhapatnam District in the State of Andhra Pradesh - S.O. 2773 (E) - Special Economic Zone

MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 6th August, 2020 S.O. 2773 (E). -Whereas, M/s. Brandix India Apparel City Private Limited, had proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005) , (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for Textile at Duppituru, Moturupalem, Maruturu and Gurujaplem Villages, Visakhapatnam District in the State of Andhra Pradesh; AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules 2006 , had notified 404.70 hectares at the above Special Economic Zone vide Ministry of Commerce and Industry Gazette Notification Number S.O. 539(E) dated 10th April, 2007 ; AND, WHEREAS, M/s. Brandix India Apparel City Private Limited has now proposed for de-notification of 17.894 hectare from the above Special Economic Zone; AND, WHEREAS, the State Government of Andhra Pradesh has given its approval to the proposal vide letter No. 8496/Infra/A3/2017 dated 27th April, 2020; AND, WHEREAS, the Development Commissioner, Visakhapatnam, SEZ has recommended the proposal for de-notification of an area of 17.894 hectare of the Special Economic Zone; AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government is satisfied that the requirements under sub-section (8) of section 3 of the said Act and other related requirements are fulfilled; NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006 , the Central Government hereby de-notifies an area of 17.894 hectare, (thereby making the resultant area as 386.806 hectare) comprising the Survey numbers and the areas given below in the table, namely:- TABLE FOR DE-NOTIFICATION AREA Sl.
