Rescinds Notification No. S.O. 344(E) dated 15th, February 2008 - S.O. 4202 (E) - Special Economic Zone

MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 18th November, 2020 S.O. 4202 (E). -WHEREAS, M/s. Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Limited (APIIC), had proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005) , (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for Information Technology and Information Technology Enabled Services at Putlampalli Village, Cuddapah Mandal, Cuddapah District in the State of Andhra Pradesh; AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zone Rules 2006 , had notified an area of 21.36 hectares vide Ministry of Commerce and Industry Notification Number S.O. 344(E) dated 15th, February 2008; AND, WHEREAS, M/s. Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Limited (APIIC) has now proposed to de-notify entire area of 21.36 hectares of the above Special Economic Zone; AND, WHEREAS, the State Government of Andhra Pradesh has given No Objection Certificate to the proposal vide Letter No. ITC01-IT0PROM(ITPR)/ 27/2020-PROMOTIONS dated 09th October, 2020; AND, WHEREAS, the Development Commissioner, Visakhapatnam Special Economic Zone has recommended the proposal for de-notification of entire area of 21.36 Hectares of the Special Economic Zone; NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by first proviso to rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules 2006, the Central Government hereby rescinds the above notification except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such rescission.
