Amendment of section 3 of Act 16 of 1955.
84. In the Medicinal and Toilet Preparations (Excise Duties) Act, 1955, in section 3, in sub-section (1), after the words "dutiable goods", the brackets and words "(excluding goods produced or manufactured in a Special Economic Zone)" shall be inserted.
Notes on Clauses:
Clause 84 of the Bill seeks to amend section 3 of the Medicinal and Toilet Preparations (Excise Duties) Act, 1955, so as to exclude goods produced or manufactured in Special Economic Zones from excise duty leviable under the Act.
