122. Insertion of new section 7A.
After section 7 of the principal Act, the following section shall be inserted, namely:––
Power to call for information
“7A. The Central Government through any designated authority, may call for such information, documents and evidence as it may deem necessary, in relation to any account, for carrying out the purposes of this Act.”.
Notes on Clauses:
Clause 122 of the Bill seeks to insert a new section 7A. The proposed new section 7A empowers the Central Government to call for any information or documents and evidence concerning an account required in connection with the purposes of the Act.
