AMENDMENT TO THE GOVERNORS (EMOLUMENTS, ALLOWANCES AND PRIVILEGES) ACT, 1982
158. Amendment of section 3 of Act 43 of 1982.
In section 3 of the Governors (Emoluments, Allowances and Privileges) Act, 1982, for the words “one lakh ten thousand” the words “three lakh fifty thousand” shall be substituted and shall be deemed to have been substituted with effect from the 1st day of January, 2016.

Clause 158 of the Bill seeks to amend section 3 of the Governors (Emoluments, Allowances and Privileges) Act, 1982.
Section 3 of the aforesaid Act relates to emoluments to the Governors. It is proposed to enhance the present emoluments from one lakh ten thousand rupees per mensem to three lakh fifty thousand rupees per mensum with retrospective effect from 1st January, 2016.
