ADDITIONAL DUTIES OF EXCISE (TEXTILES AND TEXTILE ARTICLES) ACT, 1978 (40 OF 1978) 6th December, 1978 An Act to provide for the levy and collection of additional duties of excise on certain textiles and textile articles. BE it enacted by Parliament in the Twenty-ninth Year of the Republic of India as follows:— 1. Short title and commencement. — (1) This Act may be called the Additional Duties of Excise (Textiles and Textile Articles) Act, 1978. (2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 4th day of October, 1978.
