It is practically seen that though the Income Tax Department has been taking initiatives to settle refund cases of assesses through its Various offices in North East but fails for the negligence of the D.D.O.s of the Officees. Even after notices being served by the IncomeTax Offices under their proper jurisdictions  to the Various Departments, particularly of the State Governments,  they are not providing reasonable helping hands to the Income Tax Department   to submit their quarterly returns to the NSDL. It is also seen that many departments do not take any step to submit the data to the N.S.D.L. even after being requested by  the assesses whch is practically seen. One of the major problems which is faced by the assesses from the D.D.O. s particularly that whenever they are requested to submit data to the N.S.D.L., they take plea of non availabilty of fund for this expenses allowed by the State Government to be incurred to submit the data to the N.S.D.L.

Again, it practically happens that if  required data are not submitted to the N.S.D.L. by the Department concerned, then after assessment of Income tax Return for that year yields demand instead of being refund obtained for claims.

If the D.D.O.s are strictly ordered by the State Government after being fund for expenes granted, as they verbaly say, if true, and the Income Tax Department take stunt action for their negligence in this part, certainly, it will be fruitful for the assesses and the for the smooth functioning of the Income Tax Offices for quick refunds by minimising the workload as happens in rectification.
