Production description under SS. No. 87.09 of the Drawback Table - reagarding - Customs - 066/99

No. 87.09 of the Drawback Table - reagarding. Certain representations have been received in this Directorate seeking clarification whether in the Sub-Serial No. 87.09 in the Drawback Table, the description of the goods is "Others" or "Other Tippers". It is hereby clarified that the word "Tipper" has inadvertently crepit into the product description of SS. No. 87.09 in the Drawback Table, 1998-99 and the said error has continued in the curent Drawback Table. The product description against S.No. 87.09 should be read as "Others" only which cannotes "Chassis of Motor Vehicles of pay load exceeding 4000 kgs."
