IIA-F Dated: 13.01.2016 PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 06/2016 Subject:- Procedure for re-import of drugs as per CDSCO (Central Drugs Standard Control Organization) Guidance Document for ADC NOC- Reg. 1. Attention of all importers/exporters/CHAs and all concerned is invited to the prescribed procedure for obtaining ADC NOC in cases of re-import of drugs/cosmetics/medicines. 2. As per CDSCO (Central Drugs Standard Control Organization) Guidance Document, the below mentioned procedure is mandatorily required to be followed for obtaining ADC NOC in cases of re-import of drugs/cosmetics/medicines: (i) In case of re-import of drugs and cosmetics of Indian origin by the manufacturer / exporter due to certain reasons, samples may be drawn for complete test including specific test in which the consignment was reported to have failed and release the goods thereafter if found to be standard. Sample to be sent to the Government / approved laboratories. (ii) In case the re-imported material is found to be NSQ, then based on the under taking of the manufacturer, the consignment may be released for reprocessing provided it shall be done in the presence of the Drugs Inspectors or representative of Port Office. The decision of release for reprocessing or not to release shall be taken by the concerned DDC (I). Simultaneously, the matter to be informed to the concerned State Drug Controller / Zonal Officer for the re-import check. 3. The stakeholders are requested to refer to CDSCO Guidance Documents for further details. 4.
