Attention of all Importers, Exporters, CHAs and members of the Trade is invited to Public Notice No.3/2002 dated 8.1.2002 issued by this Commissionerate wherein it has been mentioned that the Importers shall declare the brand, model, grade, specification etc. of the commodities being imported in the relevant columns of the Annexure I being filed at Service Centre. 2. Attention of Trade is also drawn to the Public Notice No.17/02 dated 21.02.02002 and Public Notice No. 32/02 dated 8.3.2002 issued by Commissioner of Customs (General) wherein it is stated that Importers/CHAs are required to fill up manufacturer s name, brand, model/specification, end use of the item etc. in column 39 (a) (i) of Appendix A to be files at Service Centre. It is noticed that many of the Importers/CHAs are not declaring these details while filling up the Appendix A at Service Centre. Attention of Trade is drawn to the Annexure of this Publicx Notice wherein list of commodities is given. For the commodities mentioned in the Annexure to this Public Notice, no Bill of Entry will be entertained at Service Centre unless otherwise the Importers/CHAs fill up the required details in column (a) (i) of Appendix A to be filed, at Service Centre. The Manager of Service Centre has been instructed to raise an objection and return back the Bills of Entry for the commodities mentioned in the Annexure to this Public Notice if the required are not filled up. 3. Hence the Trade is once again informed with a view avoid inconvenience and delay that filling up of above mentioned details in Appendix A to be filed at Service Centre is mandatory and should be complied with.
