Sir/ Madam, I am directed to say that during the Development Commissioner's meeting held. on 09.08.2017 violation of Rule 27(6) of the SEZ Rules, 2006 by some exporters in SEZs was pointed out and that G J Units in SEZs were not sourcing their precious metals from Nominated agencies. Accordingly, it has been decided that the provisions of Rule 27(6) may be strictly adhered to 1 [precious metals imported by SEZ Units on loan basis should be sourced only through Nominated Agencies]. 2.
