Calcium Carbide (Amendment) Rules, 2015 - F. No. 2(2)2014-Expls.- G.S.R. 647(E) - Indian Law

MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 20th August, 2015 G.S.R. 647(E).- Whereas the draft Rules were published to amend Calcium Carbide Rules, 1987, as required by sub-section (2) of section 29 of the Petroleum Act, 1934 (30 of 1934) vide notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion) number G.S.R. 364(E), dated the 6th day of May, 2015 in the Gazette of India, Part II, Section 3, Sub-Section (i) inviting objections and suggestions from all persons likely to be affected thereby, before the expiry of a period of forty-five days from the date on which the copies of the Gazette containing the said notification were made available to the public; And, whereas, copies of the said Gazette were made available to the public on 6th day of May, 2015; And, whereas, no objections and suggestions were received from the public on the said draft rules; Now, therefore, in exercise of powers conferred by sections 4 of the Petroleum Act, 1934 (4 of 1934), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules to amend the Calcium Carbide Rules, 1987, namely:- 1. (1) These rules may be called the Calcium Carbide (Amendment) Rules, 2015. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their final publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the Calcium Carbide Rules, 1987, in the first Schedule, against Article number 2, in column 4 under the heading Authority empowered to grant licence for the existing entry, the following entry shall be substituted, namely:- District Magistrate .
