Central Government de-notifies an area of 0.2832 hectares, thereby making resultant area as 11.8158 hectares at Village Pantheerankavu and Nellikode, Taluka Kozhikode, District Kozhikode in the State of Kerala - S.O. 2294(E) - Special Economic Zone

MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 31st May, 2018 S.O. 2294(E).- Whereas, M/s. Kerala State Information Technology Infrastructure Ltd, a State Government organization, had proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005), (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for information technology and information technology enabled services at Village Pantheerankavu and Nellikode, Taluka Kozhikode, District Kozhikode in the State of Kerala; And, whereas, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zone Rules 2006 , had notified areas of 10.1210 hectares, 1.5637 hectares and 0.4143 hectares at above Special Economic Zone vide Ministry of Commerce and Industry Notification numbers S.O. 1217(E) dated 27th May, 2011 , S.O. No. 1222 (E) dated 14th May, 2013 and S.O. 2473(E) dated 12th August, 2013 respectively; AND, WHEREAS, M/s. Kerala State Information Technology Infrastructure Ltd has now proposed for denotification of 0.2832 hectares from the above Special Economic Zone; AND, WHEREAS, the State Government of Kerala has given its approval to the proposal vide letter dated 3rd May, 2018; AND, WHEREAS, the Development Commissioner, Cochin Special Economic Zone has recommended the proposal for de-notification of an area of 0.2832 hectares of the Special Economic Zone; NOW, WHEREAS, the Central Government is satisfied that the requirements under sub-section (8) of section 3 of the said Act and other related requirements are fulfilled; NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006 , the Central Government hereby de-notifies an area of 0.2832 hectares , thereby making resultant area as 11.8158 hectares , comprising the survey numbers and the area given below in the table, namely:- TABLE FOR DE-NOTIFICATION AREA Sl.
