MTNL 10-year 9 per cent (tax free) Secured Redeemable Non-Convertible Telephone Bonds, 1989 (3rd Issue) Notification Number: 0742(E) Dated 18-09-1989 In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (xvie) sub-section (1) section 5 of the Wealth-tax Act, 1957 (27 of 1957), the Central Government hereby specifies "MTNL 10-year 9% (tax free) Secured Redeemable Non-Convertible Telephone Bonds 1989 (3rd Issue)", issued by the Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited, for the purpose of the said clause: Provided that the benefit under the said item shall be admissible only if the holder of such bonds registers his name and holding with the said Nigam.
