Show cause notices have been issued to 1018 companies for 2014-15 for violation of Section 135 read with Section 134(3) (o) of the Companies Act, 2013. The year 2014-15 was the first year of Implementation of CSR by companies under the companies Act, 2013. Assessment of CSR expenditure of 7334 companies for the year 2014-15 and 5097 companies for the year 2015-16 summarises the following:- CSR Expenditure during 2014-15 and 2015-16
Various workshops / seminars / conferences are organised by Government for facilitating effective implementation of CSR provision of the Act by companies and professionals. This was stated by Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, Minister of State for Corporate Affairs in written reply to a question in Lok Sabha. |
