It is necessary to submit hard copy of ER1 Return (printout of E RETURN) & CENVAT Credit Register every month

Statutory Compliance is adhered to when the Returns are filed online, hence no need for onwards submission of hard copies of returns. Furthermore CENVAT records are to be maintained and kept at assessee premises which would be subject to Audit or to be produced to Central Excise Officer as and when called for.
