The summary of the Index of Eight Core Industries (base: 2004-05) is given at the Annexure . 2. The Eight Core Industries comprise nearly 38 % of the weight of items included in the Index of Industrial Production (IIP). The combined Index of Eight Core Industries stands at 162.4 in April, 2015, which was 0.4 % lower compared to the index of April, 2014. Its cumulative growth during April to March, 2014-15 was 3.6 %. Refinery Products (0.93% of Crude Throughput) 6. Petroleum Refinery production (weight: 5.94%) declined by 2.9 % in April, 2015.
