Obliged to know expert views on the matter. - Reply By MARIAPPAN GOVINDARAJAN - The Reply = Upto the period of point of taxation, the service tax is payable on receipt basis. If no service tax is received from the tenant it is not required to pay the same. From the introduction of point of taxation the service tax is payable on accrual basis.
