The audit observed that these input services do not qualify for credit as envisaged under Rule 2(l) of CCR, 2004 and are not used for providing output services. On these allegations, a show-cause notice demanding illegally availed CENVAT credit along with interest and penalty was issued to the appellant and after following due process of law, the adjudicating authority confirmed the demand.
