As per the provisions of section 271D and 271E of the Act, for any default under section 269SS and 269T of the Act, penalty is leviable. However, such penalty is to be imposed by the Joint Commissioner of Income Tax. However, he pointed out that no disallowance is warranted in the hands of assessee out of the finance charges and loan processing charges. The Ld.
