Economic Survey 2017-18 had projected real GDP growth for 2018-19 to be in the range of 7 to 7.5 per cent. As per the first advance estimates released by Central Statics Office (CSO), the growth of GDP at constant prices is estimated to be 7.2 per cent in 2018-19. The nominal GDP estimate used for Interim Budget 2019-2020 considered a nominal growth of 11.5 per cent for the year 2019-20 over the estimated GDP for 2018-19.
