2024 (1) TMI 255 - SCH - Companies LawCompounding of offences - default in holding Annual General Meeting the company (AGM) - non-compliance of Section 166/96 of the Companies Act, 1956/2013 - It was held by NCLAT that Once the appellant has admitted his default and thereafter approached the Tribunal for compounding the offence there was no ground for the appellant to assail the order of the compounding passed by the NCLT. HELD THAT - There are no reason to interfere with the impugned judgement - Civil appeal dismissed.
The Supreme Court dismissed the Civil Appeal and upheld the order passed by the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal in Company Appeal (AT) (Insolvency) No 73 of 2023. Pending applications were disposed of.
