We are happy to inform you that the Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC) has launched an electronic system called ACES in this office that shall offer various electronic services such as online Registrations, online filing of service tax returns, refund claims and filing of intimations, tracking, dispute resolutions, etc. By providing this electronic interface between the department and you, ACES aims at bringing down the transaction time and cost, improving responsiveness and bringing about complete transparency. Further, details of ACES are available on www.aces.gov.in and www.servicetaxdelhi.gov. in 2. You are requested to avail of this opportunity and join the initiative. To enable you to join ACES a login id and password needs to be allotted to you. The same shall be emailed to you in due course. The emails shall contain a temporary identity called 'TPIN' and a password, using which you can log onto ACES. Once logged in for the first time, you will be requested to change your user name and password, with which you will then access ACES in future. But before we email you the above information ('TPIN' and password), we need your email address. 3. Since the information that is proposed to be sent to you vide the email is sensitive in nature, it is requested that only a valid and secure email Id may please be sent, which is regularly checked and whose password is kept confidential. For your convenience, we are enclosing a form (backside of this letter) in which you have to only fill up simple details such as your Service Tax Registration Code, your email address and 'Constitution of your Company'.
