Fabrics - Notification Nos. 191/85-C.E., 208/87-C.E., 70/88-C.E., 78/88-C.E., 60/89-C.E. and 34/94-C.E. -Amendments Notification No. 37/95-C.E. Dated 16-3-1995 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 5A of the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby directs that each of the notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) specified in column (2) of the Table hereto annexed, shall be amended or further amended, as the case may be, in the manner specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table. In the said notification, in the opening portion, for the words, letters and figures "polyester fibre, falling under sub-heading No. 5501.20 of the Schedule", the words and figures "polyester fibre, falling within Chapter 55 of the Schedule" shall be substituted. 2. No. 208/87-Central Excises, dated the 11th September, 1987. In the said notification, in the opening portion, for the words, letters and figures "nylon filament yarn falling under heading No. 54.02 of the Schedule", the words, brackets and figures "nylon filament yarn (not textured), falling within Chapter 54 of the Schedule" shall be substituted. 3. No. 70/88-Central Excises, dated, the 1st March, 1988. In the said notification in the opening portion, for the words, letters and figures "falling under heading No. 52.06 or 52.09 of the Schedule", the words and figures "falling within Chapter 52 of the Schedule" shall be substituted. 4. No.78/88- Central Exci-ses, dated the Ist March, 1988. In the said notification in the opening portion, for the words, letters and figures "polyester filament yarn, falling under heading Nos. 54.02 and 54.03 of the Schedule", the words and figures "Polyester filament yarn, textured or otherwise, falling within Chapter 54 of the Schedule", shall be substituted. 5. No.60/89- Central Exci-ses, dated the Ist March, 1989. In the said notification, in the opening portion, for the words, letters and figures "falling under sub-heading No. 5302.20 of the Schedule", the words and figures "falling within Chapter 53 of the Schedule" shall be substituted. 6. No. 34/94-Central Exci-ses, dated the 1st March, 1994. In the said notification, in the opening portion, for the words, letters and figures "textured yarn falling under heading No. 54.03 of the Schedule", the words and figures, "textured synthetic filament yarn falling within Chapter 54 of the Schedule" shall be substituted.
