Electronic industry goods - Notifications No. 63/95-Cus. and 64/95-Cus. - Amended Notification No. 62/96-Cus. Dated 30-8-1996 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby directs that each of the notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), specified in column (2) of the Table hereto annexed, shall be further amended in the manner specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table. TABLE Sl.No. Notification No. and date Amendment (1) (2) (3) 1. 63/95-Customs, dated the 16th March, 1995 In the said notification, in the opening paragraph, for the portion beginning with the words "subject to the condition" and ending with the words "already paid at the time of importation.", the following shall be substituted, namely :- "subject to the condition that the importer follows the procedure set out in the Customs (Import of Goods at Conces-sional Rate of Duty for Manufacture of Excisable Goods) Rules, 1996." 2. 64/95-Customs, dated the 16th March, 1995 In the said notification, in the opening paragraph, for the portion beginning with the words "subject to the condition" and ending with the words "already paid at the time of importation", the follo-wing shall be substituted, namely :- "subject to the condition that the impo-rter follows the procedure set out in the Cus-toms (Import of Goods at Conces-sional Rate of Duty for Manufacture of Excisable Goods) Rules, 1996". 2. This notification shall come into effect on and from the 1st day of September, 1996.
