Amends Notification No. 31/82 so as to reduce customs duty on newsprint from Rs. 550 to Rs. 450 per tonne. Notification No. 153/90-Cus. Dated 20-3-1990 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 31/82-Customs dated the 28th February, 1982, namely:- In the said notification, in the TABLE, in column (3), for the figures and words "Rs. 550 per tonne", the figures and words "Rs. 450 per tonne" shall be substituted.
