CBEC reduces import tariff on woven fabrics to 10% CUS NTF NO. 35/2007 DATE 01/03/2007 G.S.R. (E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), read with section 91 and section 94 of the Finance (No.2) Act, 2004 (23 of 2004), the Central Government, on being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby directs that each of the notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), specified in column (2) of the Table below, shall be amended or further amended, as the case may be, in the manner specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table, namely:- Table S.No. Notification No. and date Amendments (1) (2) (3) 1. 69/2004-Customs, dated the 9th July, 2004 [G.S.R. 411 (E), dated the 9th July 2004] In the said notification, in the Table, after S.No 50 and the entries relating thereto, the following S.Nos. and entries shall be inserted namely:- (1) (2) 51. All goods falling under tariff items 8802 20 00, 8802 30 00 and 8802 40 00. 52. All goods falling under tariff items 8803 10 00, 8803 20 00 and 8803 30 00. 2. 14/2006-Customs, dated the 1st March, 2006 [G.S.R. 86 (E), dated the 1st March, 2006] In the said notification, in the Table, in column (4), for the figures and symbol 12.5% wherever they occur, the figures and symbol 10% shall be substituted. 3. 48/2006-Customs, dated the 26th May, 2006 [G.S.R. 315 (E), dated the 26th May 2006] In the said notification, in the Table, in column (4), for the figures and symbol 12.5% wherever they occur, the figures and symbol 10% shall be substituted.
