Underself sealing you need not to even inform the C.E. Officials.

Only free shipping Bill can be processed under selfsealing.

On the ARE-1, Authorized Signatory will have to mention that 'this shipment has been packed and sealed under his supervision.

Form SDF, Annexure A and B, Commercial Invoice, Packinglist, Excise Invoice and ARE-1 should be signed by the Authorised Signatory.  The Serial number of the Bottle Seal must be mentioned on the Rear side of the ARE-1 form.

Triplicate and quarduplicate copy of the ARE-1 must be sent to the jurisdictional central excise department with in 24 hours from the removal time.

Proof of export should be submitted within 180 days from the date of let export order as mentioned on the Shipping Bill.

I do agree with the views of Mr Khatri. No matter if you avail any export incentive scheme or not you can go for self sealing, however one point needs to be noted that , if you remove goods from your factor for your export you may have to go through more stringent checkings at port.
