DGFT Updates: Exporters Can Now File Duty Exemption Applications Online; Quick License Issuance for Status and Green Card Holders.

The Director General of Foreign Trade has amended the Handbook of Procedures (Vol. I) for 1997-2002, allowing all exporters to file Duty Exemption Scheme applications electronically. Licenses will be issued within 24 hours for status and green card holders, while others will receive theirs within three working days after submitting the necessary hard copies. Applications can be submitted via the DGFT website, with any deficiencies communicated online. The amendments aim to streamline the licensing process, ensuring timely issuance and efficient handling of applications filed electronically by status holders and green card holders within one working day.
