Section 61 of Customs Act, 1962: Customs Commissioner Can Extend Warehousing Period for Goods Up to One Year

Section 61 of the Customs Act, 1962 allows the Principal Commissioner of Customs or Commissioner of Customs to extend the warehousing period for goods upon showing sufficient cause. The extension can be granted for up to one year at a time.
