India's Finance Ministry Rescinds Central Excise Notification No. 18/2013 Under Central Excise Act, 1944, and Finance Act, 1994.

The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance's Department of Revenue, issued Notification No. 07/2014 on February 26, 2014, rescinding Notification No. 18/2013-Central Excise (N.T.) dated December 31, 2013. This action was taken under the authority granted by section 37 of the Central Excise Act, 1944, and section 94 of the Finance Act, 1994. The rescinded notification was initially published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (i).
