Chartered Accountants Rules Updated: Govt-Nominated Committee Members to Receive Daily Allowance and Travel Reimbursements

The Central Government has amended the Chartered Accountants (Procedure of Investigations of Professional and Other Misconduct and Conduct of Cases) Rules, 2007. Effective from the publication date in the Official Gazette, the amendment modifies sub-rule 17, sub-rule (1), specifying that committee members nominated by the Central Government will receive an allowance of one thousand rupees per day for each sitting. Additionally, outstation nominees will be reimbursed up to four thousand rupees for boarding and lodging expenses.
