Govt Extends Eligibility of Chitrakoot Rehabilitation Project Under Section 35AC, Approved Through 2017-18 With 30 Crore Funding.

The Central Government has extended the eligibility of the "Centre for Rehabilitation and Development, Chitrakoot, UP," managed by a university in Uttar Pradesh, as an approved project under Section 35AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961. Initially recognized in 2006 and extended in 2009 and 2012, the project supports the relief and rehabilitation of disabled individuals. The National Committee for Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare has recommended its continuation, and it is now approved for an additional three years from the financial year 2015-16 to 2017-18, with a total cost of 30 crore, including a 10 crore corpus fund.
