Honnavar Port in Karnataka Added for Import/Export Operations Per Amendment to Notification No. 62/1994-Customs.

The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance, has issued Notification No. 97/2016-Customs (N.T.) amending Notification No. 62/1994-Customs (N.T.) dated November 21, 1994. This amendment, effective from July 8, 2016, includes the addition of Honnavar Port in Karnataka to the list of ports authorized for the unloading of imported goods and loading of export goods. This change is reflected in the updated table under serial number 6, enhancing the operational scope of Honnavar Port for handling various classes of goods.
