MINISTRY OF FINANCE (Department of Economic Affairs) (Capital Market Division) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 20th December, 1996 S.O. 887(E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India Act, 1992 (15 of 1992), read with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Terms and Conditions of Services of Chairman and Members) Rules, 1992 the Central Government hereby appoints Dr. Jayanth Rama Varma, Professor, Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, as a part-time Member of the Securities and Exchange Board of India under clause (d) of that sub-section.
