Gujarat GST Order 2019 Extends Filing Deadlines for Annual Returns Due to Technical Issues.

The Gujarat Goods and Services Tax (Eighth Removal of Difficulties) Order, 2019, issued by the Government of Gujarat, addresses challenges faced by taxpayers in submitting annual returns electronically as mandated by the Gujarat Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. Due to technical issues, registered persons were unable to file returns for the periods from July 1, 2017, to March 31, 2018, and April 1, 2018, to March 31, 2019, by the original deadlines. The order extends the filing deadlines to December 31, 2019, and March 31, 2020, respectively, effective from November 14, 2019.
