Uttarakhand Reduces SGST on Covid-19 Relief Supplies: Medical Oxygen, Medications, Testing Kits & More Until Sept 30, 2021.

The Government of Uttarakhand has issued a notification providing a concessional State Goods and Services Tax (SGST) rate on specific Covid-19 relief supplies. Effective from June 14, 2021, until September 30, 2021, the reduced rates apply to items such as medical-grade oxygen, certain medications like Tocilizumab and Remdesivir, Covid-19 testing kits, hand sanitizers, ventilators, and ambulances, among others. Most items are taxed at 2.5%, with some, like Tocilizumab and Amphotericin B, exempt from SGST. The notification aims to facilitate access to essential medical supplies during the pandemic.
