India Amends Watermelon Seed Import Policy: Free Until Sept 30, 2022, via Kandla & Mundra Ports Only.

The Government of India has amended the import policy for watermelon seeds under ITC(HS) Code 1207 70 90. The policy now allows the import of watermelon seeds to be "Free" until September 30, 2022. Shipments made by this date can be cleared at Indian Customs if the Bill of Entry is filed and goods are presented for examination by October 31, 2022. These imports are restricted to Kandla and Mundra Ports. This amendment is issued by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade under the Foreign Trade Policy 2015-2020.
