Odisha Govt Authorizes Account Aggregators for Data Sharing u/s 158A of Odisha GST Act, Effective Oct 1, 2023.

The Government of Odisha has issued a notification, effective October 1, 2023, under section 158A of the Odisha Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. It designates "Account Aggregator" systems as authorized entities for information sharing via the common portal, contingent on consent. An "Account Aggregator" is defined as a non-financial banking company operating under the Reserve Bank of India's guidelines, as per the Non-Banking Financial Company - Account Aggregator (Reserve Bank) Directions, 2016. This measure follows recommendations from the Council and aims to streamline data sharing under the Odisha GST framework.
