Gujarat Government Amends GST Notification, Extends Deadline from June 30 to July 28, Effective July 16, 2022.

The Government of Gujarat has issued Notification No. 12/2022 under the Gujarat Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, amending the previous Notification No. 73/2017-State Tax dated 29th December 2017. The amendment, effective from 16th July 2022, changes the deadline in the fifth proviso from "30th day of June, 2022" to "28th day of July, 2022." This amendment follows the recommendations of the Goods and Services Tax Council and is authorized by section 128 of the Act.
