Uttarakhand GST Act Amended: New Entry for Millet Flour Food Preparations, Excludes Pre-Packaged Products, Effective Oct 20, 2023.

The Government of Uttarakhand has amended Notification No. 518/2017, dated June 29, 2017, under the Uttarakhand Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. The amendment, effective from October 20, 2023, adds a new entry, S. No. 94A, to the Schedule. This entry pertains to food preparations of millet flour in powder form, containing at least 70% millets by weight, excluding pre-packaged and labeled products. The amendment was made in the public interest, following recommendations from the Council, and was authorized by the Governor.
