Karnataka Amends GST Notification: New Entries and Clarifications for Cartons, Milk Cans, Solar Cookers in Schedules II & III.

The Government of Karnataka has amended Notification No. (01/2017) regarding the Karnataka Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. Effective from July 15, 2024, the amendments introduce new entries in Schedule II, such as cartons and boxes of paper, milk cans, and solar cookers, and modify existing entries in Schedule III related to goods like milk cans and solar cookers. Additionally, a proviso is added to the explanation after Schedule VII, clarifying that agricultural produce in packages over 25 kg or liters is not considered "pre-packaged and labelled" under the Legal Metrology Act.
