Bangalore Company Authorized to Export Cement to Maldives for Hospitality Centre, Under Foreign Trade Policy

The Central Government has authorized the export of cement by a Bangalore-based company from Tuticorin Port to the Maldives, as per a bilateral agreement. This export is for the construction of the Indian-Maldives Friendship Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Studies Centre. A total of 41,100 bags, each weighing 50 kg, will be exported in specified quantities from November 2008 to February 2009. The cement types include OPC, PPC, or PSC, conforming to specified Indian Standards. This decision is made under the Foreign Trade Policy and is issued in the public interest.
