Jammu & Kashmir GST Act Amendment: Effective Date Changed from April 1 to May 15, 2024, Retroactive Application.

The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has issued an amendment to Notification S.O. No. 153/2024-Tax, dated March 7, 2024, under the Jammu and Kashmir Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. The amendment changes the effective date in paragraph 4 from "1st day of April, 2024" to "15th day of May, 2024." This amendment is deemed to have been in effect from April 1, 2024. The notification was issued by the Finance Department and signed by the Principal Secretary to the Government.
