Special Additional Excise Duty on Petroleum Crude and Fuel Exports Withdrawn Per Notification No. 29/2024.

The Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, has issued Notification No. 29/2024-Central Excise, dated December 2, 2024, to withdraw the Special Additional Excise Duty on the production of petroleum crude and the export of aviation turbine fuel, petrol, and high-speed diesel oil. This action is taken under the authority of section 147 of the Finance Act, 2002, section 5A of the Central Excise Act, 1944, and section 21 of the General Clauses Act, 1897. The notification rescinds several previous notifications from June 30, 2022, and is effective immediately.
